I am currently writing this at 31 December 2025. I suddenly love writing stuff on my blog for absolutely no reason. I probably guess I would or probably no one would ever read this blog again. The cold this year’s winter is crazy, I have never seen Odisha be so cold, I am from Bhubaneswar and the temps go to a min of 10 degree celcius at times!!! Today was also the first time I didn’t give Paper 2 of my JEE mock tests, I simply gave up man…
Anyways lemme quickly review this year cz why not. This year I believe I learnt a lot of things! Just insane amount of things, let it be computing or just general stuff. I became a lot more opinionated than before, learnt to appreciate a lot more things. This year had more open source contribs than when I was in quarrentine lol. Even tho there is JEE. I procastinated a lot of time to build things… I am not sure if I will regret this later or not. Anyways this year started with work on Sakuya AC, the proxy server, I have never colloborated with someone on a project before, Skipper worked with me on the project, he is a really epic dude, I learnt a lot of stuff and probably the first time I had deployed something good to prod after my ysflight-discord-bot from 2021. The technologies were later used to make YSFlight Warzone, which is quite succesful I believe, I learnt so much things that can go wrong in production… It’s kind of funny how I told I would never use docker in my devlog for Remelia but I ended up using Podman anyways… I realized it’s quite hard to keep things running with low maintaince and its podman, not docker. Podman’s overhead is actually quite less, I like it lol. I learnt OpenGL, nimlang, C++ and what not, I spent so much time learning from YSFlight’s codebase that it taught me so many things. Learning wise, I gained insane amount of technical skills this year. Mostly from learning with LLM’s lol. I did not use them as a tool but as a mentor or teacher because I never have had anyone to teach me stuff. LLM’s became crazy good this year, although I think AGI is something that can ever be made. God’s creation is made by god… I don’t believe it can replicated. No insult to aethism… It’s just how I think, you can’t recreate “things” of nature, be it birth or intelligence.
This video had to be the greatest way to end this year lol. I saw a few videos on how other people had approached the same problem and they were… not what I liked, so I made my own and it got an insane 50k views as of today. Probably my greatest mark on the internet! It doubled my entire subscriber count, I had never imagined something like this, even the source code of the script became my most popular open source project sitting at a whopping 30 stars. I have never had that many strangers appreciate my project before. I remember on December 27, I would refresh YT studio and a fresh batch of comments would pile in. It went viral for a few seconds even. My friend from Seattle reports she saw it on her fyp. Globalisation is an insane thing…
Other things… This year was fast and cruel. My physics teacher had to be the most cruel teacher I have ever had, quite a demotivating and sad person, he affected my mental health quite a lot but I remembered I am goated and kept going on! I also got chicken-pox this year, I never had a serious disease in my life before. Had to take a few bitter medicines, funny thing is all of that wouldn’t have happened if the dude just allowed people to take sick leaves. Yes, he made a girl with chicken pox come to class, which is how our entire batch got it lmao. My other two teachers this year were much better, Haidar sir was probably the best math teacher I had in my life, although I suck at math. 😔
I also went outside my home the least this year. Most notably I didn’t go to my ancestral home even a single time this year, I simply didn’t have time man… I went to Uttarakhand in March and Puri in October. Uttarakhand is one of the most prettiest states of India, I wish more foreigners had some money and showed those places! Speaking of which the racism against Indians has increased so much this year. My life this year was quite monotonous, go to allen, grind, build things, repeat. I became a huge fan of Touhou this year, till last year, I was only aware of it. This year it changed. Absolutely changed — I became a complete fanboy. If Touhou didn’t exsist idk there would be an insane void in my life.
I am really looking forward to 2026, they say life never gets better… I am just hoping for the best and ballin'
